Beef Sausage Rolls with Spicy Beef Sauce

Some guys just can’t get enough red meat. So here’s an up market hot dog with a quality beef sausage in it, smothered in a meat sauce.

Ingredients
 
6WholeBeef Sausage(s) Choose top quality. 
6WholeBread Rolls Hot dog or other long soft white rolls. 
2TbspExtra Virgin Olive Oil  
1WholeBrown Onion Small, peeled and finely chopped. 
750GmBeef Mince  
2TspSmoked paprika  
1TspMasterFoods chilli powder Use more or less to taste. 
1TbspMasterFoods Tomato Sauce  
1Cup(s)Water Use more if required. 


Directions

In your wok or a large saucepan, soften the onion in the oil without browning it and add the beef, stirring to colour.

Add paprika, chilli powder, tomato sauce and paste and water. Bring to the boil then simmer gently for thirty minutes, adding a little more water if necessary.

Season well with sea salt and ground black pepper to taste.

While the sauce is simmering, cook the sausages over a low heat until just cooked through.

Place a sausage in each bread roll and top with plenty of meat sauce.

Serve with very cold beer.
